micro posts unless they are macro
Last year Anu lovingly spent hours planting various hostas and plants in our backyard. This year Hobbes has basically chomped them and made it into his daily salad. The only reason our rose plant is untouched is it has thorns.
Spent the morning explaining what Roe Vs Wade is to my almost 11 year old daughter and why it’s important she has the choice.
We were going to put an offer on a house we really liked in our area. The sellers agent turned to be a complete dick and we decided to not bother with it at all. I get it’s a sellers market, but that doesn’t give you any agency to be a disrespectful douchebag. No house is worth that trouble, as good as it may be.
In other news I have no idea how to fix my micro.blog posts that show up on supremus.micro.blog. I tried republishing thing on account page, but doesnt seem to have fixed it [@help](https://micro.blog/help)
Was a emotional roller coaster of a weekend that I wont go into much details about here (I am not comfortable with the idea of a non private micro.blog), but definitely left us drained. It left me with an overwhelming sense of sadness and loneliness – its not a feeling that I’ve experienced in quite a while. Much better today though!
One of the best parts about our dog breeder is that she hosts puppy play dates almost every weekend for all the puppies. The fact that she is only 30 mins away is a added bonus for us. Whenever we go Hobbes gets to meet at least one or two of his litter mates and a few more cousins. The doggos have a crazy time and once back home he is passed out for a while. These puppy dates have been such a fantastic thing for our doggo. I am glad that we are able to make them many weekends. Nothing beats the joy of watching the doggos run around so happily and playing with each other.
I often feel like going on vacations where you have the luxury of time to explore places. But the urge to see as much as possible often wins out in favor of pace. Like for example our London-Paris trip. Knowing that it was going to be an expensive trip, we crammed in so much in 8 days its not funny. We were going from one place to another, as if ticking check boxes on a sheet – not that it was not fun (it was!), but it also left us feeling a little drained. But then, when you have limited number of days considering school, summer being worst travel times, the urge to see it all trumps sitting in a garden and just watching time pass by.
Thats why I always miss my Greece vacation. We spent a good 15 days in the country, explored the country on our terms and came out refreshed and energized. It didnt feel like we wanted to go back to Greece again because we covered it all. I wish we could have vacations like that again where every day is not a 10 mile hike to see places and check boxes!
Slow Horses is so frigging good! I want the second season, like tomorrow!
I have made a conscious decision to not shitpost or retweet crap here lol. I mean I still have my Twitter so I can keep feeding the toilet bowl there no need to start it here again.
